Thank you for your support. Every person who learns about the enslaved is priceless. Every dollar is important.

Since 2018, we at REALM (Recognizing Enslaved Africans of Larchmont-Mamaroneck) have been striving to fulfill our mission to honor the history, humanity and contributions of the Africans enslaved in Mamaroneck Township from 1698 to 1817. We researched the relevant history and background, studied similar efforts from across the country and opted to pursue the development of a permanent monument that would both recognize the enslaved Africans and help educate the community about this significant part of our history.

Now, In collaboration with local officials, organizations, residents and artists, REALM is installing a memorial to the enslaved at the Mamaroneck Town Center. Known as UNEARTHED: A REMBRANCE, the memorial will recount the history through artwork etched into the surface of a beautiful concrete monument.

Our talented team of artists is finalizing designs, but we need your help to support them and pay for building and installing the memorial. All funds raised will go to the memorial.
